Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has confirmed striker Richarlison will be fit for the World Cup even though he’s yet to have a scan on the injury he picked up against Everton over the weekend.

The Brazilian striker left the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium on crutches after the Everton win and there were doubts over if he would be back in time for the World Cup to be staged in Qatar next month.

He told reporters ahead of the trip to Manchester on Wednesday: “The injury about Richarlison he is doing a scan, an MRI and then we’ll see how long he needs to recover. For sure against United he is not available.

The Lillywhites are enjoying their best ever start to a Premier League campaign, losing only one and drawing two of the first 10 Premier League games so far.

They sit third on the table, same points as send placed Manchester City and there are silent talks within the Spurs fanbase that they could challenge for the title alongside Manchester City and Arsenal.

Antonio Conte has also been able to get the best out of striker Harry Kane who has scored nine goals in 10 Premier League goals and has scored in his last five games in all competitions.
