After earning a Champions League spot on the final day of the campaign, Antonio Conte is now eager to bolster his squad and has been eyeing up a number of star players.
One attacker Tottenham have been heavily linked with in recent months is Paulo Dybala, however, reports claim they have now turned down the chance to sign him.
According to the Daily Mail, the London club have pulled out of the race to sign the Argentine due to his eye-watering wage demands.
Dybala chose not to extend his contract with Juventus after seven years in Turin and a host of clubs are eager to sign him on a free this summer.
Tottenham looked like one of Dybala’s most likely destinations, but is it thought that the 28-year-old is demanding a whopping £280,000 a week from his potential new club.
That would make him the highest paid player at Spurs, with Harry Kane currently reportedly paid £200,000 a week.
Dybala has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, though it is unclear whether any of the interested parties would be prepared to fork out the cash to bring him to the Premier League.
