QPR Player Ratings: 2/10 'drops stinker' and 'kamikaze' 3 in Middlesbrough romp
Middlesbrough cruised to a 4-0 victory over QPR, the London outfit gifting the visitors another three points as they eye automatic promotion.
QPR head coach Julien Stephan continues to find himself under scrutiny at Loftus Road as the R’s season risks a dismal end.

The London outfit have conceded 11 goals in their last three Championship outings and followed up last weekend’s 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield United by being thrashed 4-0 by Middlesbrough today.
QPR sit 16th and 12 points above the drop zone, but it risks being a woeful end to a campaign in which the side had looked play-off contenders at one stage. Here’s how the QPR players rated against Boro.
QPR Player Ratings
GK - Joe Walsh, 4
May well think he should have done better for each goal - weak for the first, slow to get back on his feet for the second and unable to palm the ball away from danger for the third. Not at all helped by the comedy of errors in front of him but questions over the QPR goalkeeping options remain.
LB - Rhys Norrington-Davies, 6
Looked to offer some drive up the flank when he could but struggled for opportunities to do that with Koki Saito rarely an option in front of him. Flat-footed in his defending for the first Boro goal.
CB - Jimmy Dunne, 6
Was strong when cutting across David Strelec to win the ball early on but failed to get a disorganised defence under his command as captain. Did pose an aerial threat in the opposition box.
CB - Ronnie Edwards, 6
The scoreline could perhaps have been worse if not for a few smart interventions from Edwards. Picked out a great cross-field ball in the second half to kickstart the best R’s move of the day - more of that wouldn’t have gone amiss.
RB - Amadou Mbengue, 3
Not a good day at the office. Kamikaze in his positioning and his team paid the price for that. The wrong side of his man when marking for the second Boro goal and didn’t wake up after that to close down and stop the third.
CM - Isaac Hayden, 5
Off the pace and looked leggy as the game went on. There were worse out there today.
CM - Kieran Morgan, 5
Needed shaking today. Not guilty of the errors shown by teammates but QPR needed the 19-year-old to get much more stuck in.
CM - Jonathan Varane, 2
Started the opening few minutes of each half brilliantly, closing down Boro. Dropped an absolute stinker for the rest of the game. So sloppy with his passing - drawing what may be the loudest groan from Loftus Road this season when chipping an easy pass to a teammate out for throw-in.
LW - Koki Saito, 4
Tried to find influence where he could but never had the physicality to challenge Callum Brittain on that flank. Should have been taken off much earlier as never looked a threat.
ST - Richard Kone, 4
Nothing sticking for the big man today. Lethargic in his movement, although wasn’t given a whole lot of quality to feed off.
RW - Harvey Vale, 6
There were 10 minutes in the second half where it looked as if Vale could inspire his team back into the game as he made the most of moments with Matt Targett out of position. Boro ended that period with their second goal. Hit the post with a decent strike from distance late on.
Subs - Paul Smyth (5), Daniel Bennie (4), Jake Clarke-Salter (6), Tylon Smith (3), Esquerdinha (N/A).
