St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson has admitted he thought Millwall would bring Alex Mitchell back from his loan spell last month. The defender ended up staying put in Scotland because Leeds United didn’t recall Charlie Cresswell from The Den. Davidson has told The Courier: “My biggest concern was a phone call from supposedly one of my best mates to tell me I was losing Alex! It was a real possibility.”
Gary Rowett has revealed that winter signing Aidomo Emakhu is out on the grass now as he looks to build up his fitness. He has said, as per the Southwark News: “He’s out on the grass as the moment, not training yet, but he’s looking good. He’s done a lot of work in the gym, he looks like he’s built his strength up, he looks really good around the place. He’s such a lovely lad, he’s so polite, he comes up and speaks to everyone in the dressing room after the game, shaking people’s hands.”
Watford
Watford are said to be keen on Roma right-back Bryan Reynolds, according to GVA. He has been on loan in Belgium at Westerlo this term and is due to return to Italy at the end of the campaign.
The Hornets have terminated striker Rey Manaj’s contract. He has struggled to make an impact since his transfer last summer.
