Round-up: QPR man wanted, Millwall eyeing more signings and Watford target striker

Latest QPR, Millwall and Watford news and rumours on Thursday.

QPR were beaten 3-0 at home by Burnley last time out and will be eager to bounce back under new boss Neil Critchley against Preston North End. Millwall drew 1-1 with Wigan Athletic and have Luton Town away this weekend.

Watford drew 0-0 with Hull City last Sunday and have Huddersfield Town up next. Here is a look at some of the latest news regarding the trio....

Interest in QPR loanee Tim Iroegbunam is ‘growing’ among some of the elite clubs, as detailed in a report by The Athletic. The midfielder has been a hit since moving to London from Aston Villa over the summer.

Ex-Hoops striker Charlie Austin is leaving Brisbane Roar and is becoming a free agent again. He scored four goals in 10 games in all competitions for the Australian side.

Millwall have confirmed the signing of striker Aidomo Emakhu from Shamrock Rovers. The 19-year-old has penned a long-term contract and will officially link up with the club on 1st January.

Gary Rowett has called for patience ahead of next month’s transfer window. His side are apparently expected to bring in one or two new faces and he has told the Southwark News: “I think the recruitment team do their diligence and their work, and we start to look at players. We contact players’ agents and speak to players’ clubs, although that’s not something I worry too much about. Obviously Alex [Aldridge] will do the main bulk of that.

“For us, it’s really about identifying what we need and about the club trying to find the relevant positions and the relevant players really.”

Watford are reportedly interested in Bari striker Walid Cheddira, as per a report by TuttoUdinese. He has been away at the World Cup with Morocco over recent times.

The Hornets have snapped up experienced midfielder Leandro Bacuna on a free transfer. He parted company with Cardiff City at the end of the last campaign.
