Queen’s Park Rangers could be without up to seven players for their game against Leeds United.

Queens Park Rangers welcome Championship leaders Leeds United to Loftus Road on Saturday in an early kick-off at 12.30 pm.

Marti Cifuentes’ side sit 14th in the Championship table, after four defeats in a row. Last time out, they lost 2-1 to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night as a Steve Cook goal in the 80th minute was all QPR could muster up.

They face a Leeds side this weekend who have won just one of their last three in what has been the first real falter for the league leaders this season. They are currently two points ahead of Sheffield United, and four ahead of Burnley in third.

Leeds United injury news

Leeds will be missing just two players for the game on Saturday, as two names have been ruled out for the Yorkshire side. Firstly, Ethan Ampadu remains out with a knee injury. He is expected to return in mid-April in time for the run-in and the promotion chase.

Patrick Bamford has also been ruled out for Saturday’s game, as he is recovering from a hamstring injury, which he could return from late on in March - once the international break comes to an end.

QPR injury news

With Leeds just having two injury concerns, QPR could be without up to seven players on Saturday with five already getting ruled out of the game.

Jake Clarke-Salter will miss the game against Leeds, as he is dealing with a hip injury, which is set to keep him out until mid-April. Harvey Vale and Sam Field are both due to be out until May, meaning that they could miss the remainder of the Championship season, which is disappointing for the pair.

Forward Rayan Kolli is set for a return in late March with a leg injury, meaning he will be absent on Saturday. The big headline for QPR is that Ilias Chair has been ruled out with a hamstring injury which he suffered in their last game against Boro. He had to be taken off as a substitute and is not expected to return until early April.

Jonathan Varane is a doubt for QPR on Saturday as he is dealing with a knock that he picked up. It is not expected to be a major issue for the defensive midfielder.

Attacker Zan Celar is another doubt for the game too as he continues to recover from a knock. He was expected to return in early February but is still recovering, meaning the issue could be worse than initially believed.
