Marti Cifuentes faces another must-win match for QPR as Coventry City make the trip to London in midweek.

QPR welcome Coventry City to Loftus Road on Tuesday night in what is a mammoth six-pointer at the bottom of the Championship.

Just one point separates the two clubs with the R's bottom of the second tier in 24th and the Sky Blues teetering above the relegation zone in 21st. Marti Cifuentes has not won a league fixture since August and Mark Robins has one Championship win in his last eight.

With pressure mounting on both coaches, it could be a nervy affair under the lights in West London. Here's your QPR vs Coventry City team news.

QPR team news

QPR could do with some added bite in midfield but that won't come from veteran midfielder Jack Colback anytime soon. The 34-year-old underwent surgery on a knee problem and will need 'a few weeks' to recover.

Cifuentes said: “Jack Colback has unfortunately had to have small surgery on his knee. Against Sheffield Wednesday he got [what seemed] a minor injury but, in the end, conservative treatment was not enough. It will take some weeks for him to recover.”

Summer signing Liam Morrison also has a knee problem and will miss out on Tuesday night. Another defensive injury concern comes in Jake Clarke-Salter.

The 27-year-old hasn't played since the London derby against Millwall last month and has suffered a recent setback in his recovery. Rayan Kolli is a doubt, having not been in the Championship squad since August.

Coventry City team news

Coventry City defender Jake Bidwell has a knee ligament strain and won't feature at Loftus Road, although that problem is not as bad as first feared. Robins said: “He’s an unbelievable healer and he won’t be that long at all.

"He’s somebody who does everything right and he will be pushing through everything, and even if he’s in a little bit of pain he will come back and as long as it’s not negative to him he will get himself back really quickly. They were looking at about eight weeks but it’s been a couple of weeks already and I think he will be quicker than that, a lot quicker than that.”

Midfielder Jamie Allen is also nursing a knee injury and isn't expected to return until mid November.

Raphael Borges Rodrigues is a longer term absentee with a thigh injury sustained in pre-season. The visitors will also be without goalkeeper Ben Wilson who is out for 'a few weeks' according to Robins.
