Hide AdDespite the R's relegation battle this season, the former Chelsea youth star has turned heads with his commanding performances at the heart of defence. The 26-year-old was a key part of Marti Cifuentes' relegation fight at Loftus Road and it is perhaps unsurprising that he may have some clubs higher up the league sniffing around.
Celtic were one of the sides first said to be interested in the player with Wolves and Stoke City believed to have joined the race in recent weeks. Clarke-Salter has racked up 49 QPR appearances since joining from Chelsea in 2022 and previously spent loan spells at Sunderland, Birmingham City and Coventry City.
QPR are believed to be keen to keep Clarke-Salter at Loftus Road, but would listen to offers between £5 and £7 million this summer. Speaking to Football League World about his future, the defender said: "If I'm being totally honest with myself, I had a lot of ambition growing up at Chelsea – captaining Chelsea and England youth sides – and I had some injuries along the way that has hindered my career so to have a home now.

"When I left Chelsea I was 24, I'm 26 now. I'm now trying to build my own legacy outside of Chelsea and trying to build up my career and hopefully progress a lot with QPR. The ambition for me personally is to be a Premier League player eventually, something I believe I have the capability to do. Hopefully, I can do that with QPR, the club is one the up and there are some exciting times ahead."
Clarke-Salter admitted that he hadn't seen any recent transfer rumours on social media in recent months and explained that his attention stayed focused on keeping QPR in the Championship.
