A vital three points against Rotherham United at Loftus Road on Saturday was another huge boost in the QPR fight for Championship survival as Marti Cifuentes' begins to turn the tide.

QPR's midfield features in your Wednesday transfer round-up along with Championship rivals Leeds United and Ipswich Town.

QPR stalwart could quit Loftus Road

QPR could see longstanding midfielder Sam Field leave the club this summer on a free transfer when his contract expires. The 25-year-old is one of a number of stars still to sign a new deal but may seek pastures new with an increasing number of options in the Rs midfield.

Football League World suggest that Field could quit Loftus Road should the club seek to make loan moves for Isaac Hayden and Joe Hodge permanent this summer - although the former was hooked at halftime in favour of Field in the relegation battle against Rotherham United last weekend.

The player has made 129 appearances for QPR but had been linked with Premier League interest from Fulham and Crystal Palace by Football Insider last year.

Sheffield Wednesday want Ian Poveda permanently

Sheffield Wednesday are working on a deal to sign Leeds United midfielder Ian Poveda permanently as the player impresses on a loan spell with the Yorkshire rivals.

The 24-year-old has hit the ground running at Hillsborough and added an attacking flair to breathe new life into The Owl's fight to stay in the Championship. The Star reports that Sheffield Wednesday are now working to ensure the player remains at the club this summer.

Poveda's contract at Leeds United expires at the end of the season, which could open the door for a free transfer to Sheffield Wednesday and the outlet reports that manager Danny Röhl is leading conversations over a move.

That's according to talkSPORT, who report that the 24-year-old left-back has caught the attention of Premier League suitors as Ipswich Town push for promotion. Davis has a joint league-high of 12 assists in the league this season.

The potential of European football could tempt Davis, especially if the Tractor Boys don't pull off promotion this season and a return to the North East could play in Newcastle United's favour.
