All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Millwall, QPR and their Championship rivals.

Millwall’s long wait for FA Cup action is almost over, with the Lions in action on Monday night against Dagenham and Redbridge, while QPR have already bowed out after a tough clash with Premier League club Leicester City. The Hoops will already be looking forward to Saturday’s Championship clash with strugglers Plymouth Argyle.

Both London clubs will also be looking at possible signings with the window now almost half way done. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the second tier clubs.

Taylor links

QPR are said to be interested in an ambitious move to land Celtic defender Greg Taylor. According to Daily Record, the Hoops are among a number of teams to express an interest, along with Hull City and Turkish club Trabzonspor.

Taylor has been linked with an exit, with Celtic hoping to land Kieran Tierney, and after fans chanted Tierney’s name recently, Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers said: “A total lack of respect. Of course it is. Greg Taylor, he’s been absolutely amazing at this club. How does he feel?

“He nearly breaks his nose, bleeding for the club, for the cause. I’m more worried about the players that are here. It’s not very respectful to sing for another player, no matter what Kieran’s history is. I don’t like that. I have a young player who’s given so much to this club over a number of years, consistently. His robustness, ability, what he’s done for the club. So, that needs to be respected. He might decide to go elsewhere. But at this moment in time, he’s here, he’s very much a Celtic player and we want to support that. Hopefully we can get to some agreement to let him stay.” Taylor is out of contract this summer.

Bryan on cup tie

Millwall defender Joe Bryan knows he and his teammates will have to be on guard for an upset on Monday night against Dagenham. He said: “I think they will come and play with absolute freedom. They will be a tough team. It is horrible for the team that is at home and expected to win.

“Dagenham can play with freedom, and that is a dangerous team. Any team, at any level, has to be respected because they are all very, very good players. If you are playing in any of the leagues in England then you are a very, very good player. We’ll prepare properly and do everything right. We’ll do our best to win and get through to the fourth round.”

Gelhardt medical

Leeds United striker Joe Gelhardt is set to secure a loan move with Championship club Hull City after struggling for game time at Elland Road this season.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Gelhardt already has his medical scheduled ahead of securing a temporary move away from Leeds, with the deal expected to be completed on Tuesday or Wednesday. At 22 years of age and still struggling for game time, Gelhardt has to be wondering whether his long-term future also lies away from Elland Road as he bids to impress with the Tigers.
