QPR boss makes 'excellent' claim as Leeds United 'express interest' in free agent
The Championship season is now well underway with two weeks of action already in the books. Millwall have lost back-to-back games by scorelines of 4-3 and 3-2 in a strange start to the new campaign, while QPR pulled off a stunning comeback to draw with Sheffield United away from home on Saturday after an opening day defeat.
Clubs will now begin preparing for the third week of action, but in the meantime, the vast majority of them will be working on transfers with the window remaining open until the end of the month. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours from around the division.

Hide AdCifuentes on new men
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes was pleased with what he saw from new signings Karamoko Dembélé and Koki Saito against Sheffield United. “We signed him (Saito) because he has this capacity in one v ones in the last third,” said Cifuentes, as reported by the London News.
“He’s very dynamic and can use both feet so it’s not easy for the defenders to defend against him because he can go both sides. He’s good at providing assists and breaking lines as well. I’m happy for him. I think he and Kada had a very good influence in the game.
“They played more minutes than planned but the game scenario was very demanding. Kada was very good in his minutes on the pitch. Perhaps in the last 10 or 15, he was more tired, but he showed excellent things as well. I’m very satisfied with both of them because they have been here just a few days with a lot of clips [shown to them], and probably their head was close to exploding with all the information they got, but they are good players and hopefully will help us a lot.”
Leeds ‘eye’ international
Leeds United are said to be considering a deal for experienced free agent Michael Lang, who recently terminated his contract with FC Basel. According to The Mail, the Whites have expressed an interest in signing the 33-year-old who has 31 Switzerland caps to his name.

Hide AdLang is usually a right-back - a position Leeds need to add depth in - but he is also able to play at centre-back, and he has even played in a holding midfield role. On a free transfer, Lang could provide important cover in a number of spots as Leeds’ squad continues to be reduced due to exits.
Rovers ‘agree’ deal
Blackburn Rovers are looking to find goals after losing Sammie Szmodics to Ipswich Town, and they look to have snapped up a new frontman. Jubilo Iwata striker Ryo Germain is reportedly being snapped up by Rovers having scored 15 times in 21 J1 League matches.
Alan Nixon says a deal has been agreed with only a work permit missing for Germain to complete his move at this stage. Confirmation of that is likely to come in the next couple of days.
