Marti Cifuentes will let one of his defensive options spend time away from Loftus Road next season.

QPR are set to sanction another exit as their next transfer move this summer with defender Ziyad Larkeche packing his bags for a temporary stay across the border with Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.

The Scottish Sun reports that the 21-year-old is set to become Dundee's sixth signing of the summer after a sixth-place finish in the country's top tier last season. Larkeche will link up with the club on a season-long loan from the R's with a deal believed to have been finalised on Monday.

The former French youth international only arrived at Loftus Road last summer having been released as a free agent by Fulham. Larkeche put pen to paper on a three-year deal, so will still have 12 months to run on his contract at the end of his loan spell with Dundee.

The defender came through the youth academy at French giants Paris Saint-Germain but never broke through into the first team before making the switch to Craven Cottage in 2020. Larkeche only played for the Cottagers' under-21 side but made his senior debut while on loan at Barnsley in League One during the 2022/23 campaign - scoring on his first appearance in an EFL Trophy clash against Newcastle United under-21.

Larkeche was an important part of Marti Cifuentes' Championship squad in West London last season, making 20 appearances in the second tier. The majority of those were from the bench, only racking up 365 minutes over the campaign, as he played second fiddle to Kenneth Paal.

The Frenchman can also be deployed as a left winger and will add versatility to the Dundee squad. It is expected that Larkeche will be available to play for Tony Docherty's side's Scottish Premiership opener - a derby day meeting against Dundee United on Saturday, August 4.
