Leeds United are said to be pushing for a deal to sign Peterborough United skipper Harrison Burrows. According to The Boot Room, the Whites have already made an approach to sign the defender.
Burrows is out of contract next summer, and a deal could well be done, with Posh boss Darragh MacAnthony already admitting that offers have been accepted from Championship clubs. He did not mention the clubs involved, but he praised the business done by Sheffield United and Leeds United this summer. Peterborough are said to be asking for £3million.
Szmodics latest
Blackburn Rovers have reportedly made a fresh demand in the Sammie Szmodics chase. According to Alan Nixon. Rovers have told the likes of Ipswich Town and Leeds United they need to receive offers by the end of July if they are to consider selling the Championship’s top goalscorer from last season.
The two clubs will now have to think quickly whether they want to formalise their interest, with a reported asking price of £20million on the table this summer.

Hide AdAdomah joins Walsall
Former QPR favourite Albert Adomah has found a new club following his release at the end of last season. The 36-year-old made as many as 121 league appearances for the Hoops before leaving at the end of his contract.
At 36 years of age, Adomah will have known he needed to drop a level or two, and that has proved the case. Adomah has now agreed to join League Two side Walsall, returning to the Midlands after a previous spell with Nottingham Forest.
Adomah said upon joining: “Now that I’m officially a Saddler, I can’t wait to get started. I started off in League Two at my local club Barnet nearly 16 years ago so now I’m back in League Two where the journey started. I’ve had so many achievements in my career, getting promoted twice from the Championship with Aston Villa and Middlesbrough. Hopefully I can achieve that fate with Walsall, that’s the intention. It’s a young group, but with my experience, hopefully I can help the youngsters.”
Walsall boss Mat Sadler added: “I’m delighted Albert has decided to commit this part of his career with us,” Sadler said. There were some options that I had in that right wing-back spot that I was considering but then Albert came in and completely changed all of that with the way he’s gone about things, his experience, the person that he is, the way he conducts himself around the group and most importantly what he does on the grass.

How he’ll help with some of the younger ones as well, his delivery and the way he puts himself about, I’m really looking forward to see.”
