Daniel Podence’s 83rd minute equaliser ended Forest’s hopes of increasing the gap between them and the bottom three.

Brennan Johnson’s fine finish looked like it would be enough to secure Forest the full three points, but as is the case with Premier League football, you’re never safe with a one goal lead.

Forest were left ruing missed opportunities on the counter attack, which would have seen them take the game out of Wolves’ reach.

Despite the frustration, there were positive aspects to Forest’s performance, particularly the performances of Gibbs-White, Danilo and Johnson.

Here are some fans reactions after today’s draw:

@JordanThelen We had many chances to make it two after the Dennis sub - Wolves scored with first shot on target. Unlucky really, thought we were better side today #NFFC

@ForestAdam3 We can dress it up however we like it’s 2 points dropped and it’s our own fault. Played better overall but didn’t take our chances and it could prove costly, we now have to pick up points from somewhere else, I’m feeling deflated after that one #NFFC

@ForestFanBase Good performance we can hopefully build on despite the frustrating result. Just need to keep fighting hard in every match. 🔴⚪️💪🏻#nffc #coyr

@LouisWheeldonNS Feels like a loss, that one.

To be on top for so long, have so many attempts and chances with the chance to go 12th and five clear at stake just to undo it all at the death is a massive kick in the teeth.

Eventually tried to sit on a 1-0 and we failed to do so.

@ImJamieMartin Unfortunate to only take the point, but a good team performance this afternoon.

Counter-attacking play was excellent - looked cohesive in defence too.

Ramenoodlearms Ref was awful, but we have no one to blame but ourselves. Should have scored 3 goals at least; instead wasted chance after chance.
