Arsenal have received a Premier League title boost after Liverpool were dealt more crushing injury news.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been decimated by injuries in recent weeks, with 10 first-team players missing the Carabao Cup final. Stars such as Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai and Darwin Nunez watched on as a youthful Reds side edged out Chelsea in extra time.

But the Reds were dealt fresh blows as Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo face spells on the sidelines. In the first half, Gravenberch was stretchered off following a rash challenge from Moises Caicedo.

Liverpool supporters were furious as the £115million man went unpunished by referee Chris Kavanagh and VAR. He could be seen among the post-match celebrations on crutches, with Klopp fearing a potential break.

Likewise, Endo also left Wembley in a protective boot despite playing the entire 120 minutes. The Japanese star took a blow to his ankle during the final and Klopp joked he had “the stiffest leg ever” after the 1-0 win.

A double injury blow hands Arsenal - as well as Manchester City - an advantage in the title race. As it stands, Liverpool sit one point clear at the top of the Premier League.

They are set to face Man City on March 10, with their treatment table in a race against time to make the clash. Arsenal - who sit two points behind the league leaders - are not directly affected by Liverpool’s injury woes as they have already faced the Reds twice.
