It will be interesting to see what the third round of fixtures hold, but in the meantime, we have taken a look at how the supercomputer sees the Championship table shaking up come the end of the season.

Jones on Charlton efforts

Nathan Jones was happy with what he saw from Charlton in their draw with Bristol City last weekend. He said: “I was really happy with the performance. To come away with a point from a side that won 4-1 last week away at Sheffield United, it shows we’re in a decent place.

“I thought we were truly outstanding defensively. It’s the second game we’ve kept a clean sheet - I would have liked us to have been a bit more fluid but, overall, I thought we were excellent. The first half was pretty even and I thought we had to defend really well,” he continued. They’ve got some real talent, but I thought we handled everything they had to throw at us. But in the second half, we came into it and I thought we were the better side. I thought we were going to go on to win it, but for a little bit of quality and know-how and that’s probably the only thing we lacked today.”

Neil on Millwall defeat

Speaking after the Middlesbrough defeat, Millwall boss Alex Neil said: “It wasn’t that type of game, let’s be honest. We’ve all watched it. If you’re going to take over a ninety-minute match, I’d probably say for about 50, maybe even 60 of those minutes, I thought we were probably a better side than them. However, what happens is because the last 30, they were better, that’s what you leave everybody with.

“Ultimately, the score line will dictate the moral of the story. So in two months’ time, we’ll look back at that game and say ‘how crap were we’. We all know that isn’t how the game panned out. But let’s be honest, nobody cares. We lost the game 3-0.”

Stephan on QPR loss

QPR boss Julien Stephan was not impressed by his side’s first-half application in their defeat to Watford last weekend. He said: “We didn't play in the first half, so it's easy to understand why we lost today, because we played only one half - the second one.

"It (the second half) was good, good pressure. We had some situations to score the second goal, but it was too poor in the first half, especially the intensity and how we played with the ball. It's hard to imagine getting a good result in this condition."
