Sunderland vs Millwall early injury news as 13 ruled out and 4 doubts
A look at the early injury news ahead of Millwall’s tough-looking clash with Sunderland this weekend.
Millwall are getting close to perhaps the most important stretch of the season, taking on a number of promotion contenders as they look to sneak into the playoffs. The Lions are six points off the top six as things stand, but they are going to have to remain consistent between now and the end of the season.

A series of big tests will kick off after the international break, starting with a Sunderland side that is all-but certain to land a top six spot. Here we round up the early injury news heading into that one.
Enzo Le Fee - Doubt
Le Fee is said to be working his way back, on course to return for the Millwall game. Le Bris has said he ‘should be available’ after the international break.
Dennis Cirkin - Doubt
Cirkin picked up some sort of issue last weekend and will be a doubt for this one, at least until there is new information on his issue.
Dan Ballard - Out
Ballard will remain out for this one, likely to return some time in April. Le Bris said previously: “Enzo is a little bit less than Dan. For Enzo it will be four to six weeks, with Dan it will be maybe six to eight.”
Salis Abdul Samed - Out
Samed is not expected to return from his injury until at least mid-April, if not a little later.
Ahmed Abdullahi - Out
Abdullahi is still building up fitness, but Le Bris is not currently considering him for selection. He said recently: "With Ahmed, he is still struggling with his previous injury so it is not yet fully solved. It is not a bad issue at this stage but he is not available.”
Jayden Danns - Out
Danns has had a lower back issue since arriving on loan from Liverpool, and it’s not clear when he will return.
Aji Alese - Out
Alese is out for the season after breaking his leg back in January.
Niall Huggins - Out
Huggins remains out, still recovering from a big knee surgery.
Ian Poveda - Out
Poveda has struggled with injuries this season, and there is no timeline on his return from his latest setback.
George Honeyman - Out
Honeyman is likely to miss out with a groin injury. Neil has said: "George, we’ll need to scan, I think it might be his groin.” Given the concern over Honeyman’s injury, it’s unlikely he will be back here.
Femi Azeez - Out
Like Honeyman, it would be a big surprise if Azeez was available here. He picked up a hamstring issue last time out, and they tend to take a few weeks as a minimum.
Danny McNamara - Out
McNamara is out after requiring surgery on the serious knee injury he picked up last month. He will be out for the season.
Ryan Leonard - Doubt
Leonard has been out since last month with a calf issue and Neil said it didn’t look good at the time. There hasn’t been an update since.
Calum Scanlon - Out
Scanlon will be out for much of the season, and likely all of it. Neil said at the time: “Unfortunately Calum's got a really bad hamstring injury. He required surgery, which he already had and I believe everything went successfully, but that will rule him out for basically sixteen weeks, which takes him to the end of the season. So he'll go back to Liverpool. We're naturally upset for him."
Macauley Langstaff - Doubt
Langstaff is a doubt having been scheduled to return at the end of March. It’s likely to be a close one for the striker.
Camiel Neghli - Out
Neghli is out for a few more weeks with the ankle injury he suffered earlier in the month.
Liam Roberts - Out (Suspended)
The goalkeeper is suspended due to the red card he picked up against Palace.
