All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Championship as the international break takes hold.

We had another entertaining weekend of Championship action with differing results for our London clubs. Millwall picked up a big point away from home against an impressive West Brom side, while QPR came up short away to Derby County, losing 2-0.

Both teams, and indeed their rivals, will now go into the international break, getting valuable time to improve on their campaigns so far. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding both sides.

Cifuentes on returning duo

QPR boss Marti Cifuentes has been speaking about the returns of Morgan Fox and Ilias Chair after both featured during the defeat to Derby County. “It’s been tough to miss Morgan and Illy for the time that we have. It’s also tough to miss Jack Colback and others who are important to us,” he told club media.

“That’s not an excuse - it’s reality and we need to make sure that the ones who are available can compete better. Them (Fox and Chair) returning is good news for them and good news for the team.”

Harris delighted

Millwall boss Neil Harris was delighted with how his men defended in the goalless draw with West Brom on Saturday. “We were very respectful to West Brom’s strengths and the quality they’ve got in the team and on the bench,” said Harris. “We knew they were going to control the football. We had a clear game plan everyone could see. We executed it superbly.

“West Brom dominated the ball – the stats show that – but it’s the areas in which they had the ball, they played where we wanted them to play. I picked two very good one-v-one defenders to deal with their players and we defended the ball in our box. I remember them having one chance, Josh Maja in the first half, that went wide and over. So a half chance. Other than that, we executed the game plan superbly. My keeper didn’t have a save to make in the second half and we had three or four really good chances.”

Meslier slammed

Pundit Jon Newsome has taken aim at Ilan Meslier after he responded to his error against Sunderland by laughing and joking with former Lorient and now Black Cats boss Regis Le Bris. Newsome said on BBC Radio Leeds: “I do agree that you can’t be stood out there, laughing and joking with the other team’s manager. You’ve got to show some humility and awareness of the situation. Have to be a bit more professional than that.

“If I’d have seen him laughing and joking, I think I would have had a few words to say to him. If I’d have played for 96 minutes, I would have had something to say to him in the dressing room.”
