Harris on ‘awesome’ trio

Millwall boss Neil Harris has praised Duncan Watmore, George Honeyman and Romain Esse as ‘awesome’ amid their impact at the top end of the pitch so far this season.

“We keep talking about wanting our players to have a bit of flair to them and the way Duncan, George and Romain are playing is awesome to watch,” Harris said, as reported by the South London Press. “They also set the tone at the top end of the pitch with our defensive structure. The three of them have been immense.”

Parker’s QPR prediction

Former QPR player Paul Parker believes QPR can avoid a relegation battle and have a ‘good season’ this time around having had a difficult campaign of last. "I think QPR can have a good season this year,” he told Football League World. “The Championship is very competitive so I think the play-offs may come too soon, but they can most definitely not have a relegation battle on their hands and they can be a top half side.

"Should they be able to go on a good run and get good momentum, then you never know, but you have a good head coach in place to progress the team forward and some good young players coming through and also some more experienced players."

Leeds ‘worry’

Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson has expressed worry over Patrick Bamford’s lack of reliability and the lack of goalscorers at Elland Road currently.

“Of course, it’s a worry,” he told MOT Leeds News. “All of the goalscoring burden is on Mateo Joseph. Without Patrick Bamford, you’re looking at Joel Piroe, but he doesn’t normally play as a No.9. Leeds are light in that area, and you can’t rely on Bamford to be fit for a whole season. We’ve seen that before in recent seasons and it’s a big ask for Joseph.”
