Neil Harris confirms next steps after Millwall as Leeds United 'beat' Man Utd to transfer
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Millwall, QPR and their Championship rivals.
Attention is already turning to the weekend for the Championship clubs after another action-packed round of fixtures. QPR are recovering steadily with a good run of results, picking up another point on Saturday, and an away point no less.
Meanwhile, Millwall are in the midst of a disappointing run of form, and they are currently searching for a new manager. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Championship clubs.
Harris’ plans
Neil Harris says he has no plans to take a new job afer resigning from his Millwall post. He told South London News: “No plans to be back in the dugout soon,” Harris said. “I’ve really enjoyed this spell, it’s been amazing, it’s been a whirlwind ten months. I’ve loved it, I’m full of energy and excitement and passion for football. Over the coming weeks and months we’re going to travel around the country, see some friends at Premier League clubs, go in and watch them train and watch their games. I’ll do the same in the Championship, League One and League Two.
“My local team and my team, Southend, I’ll be there to watch their games as well. Reflection time on the job, time with the family especially over the Christmas period – someone told me Christmas is coming soon! So I look forward to that, I haven’t had many of them at home over the last 30 years in football. And then – who knows?”
Manning left frustrated
Bristol City boss Liam Manning was left frustrated after his side’s draw with QPR on Saturday. He said, as detailed by BristolLive: “I think it sums it up right?
“I was quite honest with the lads afterwards. Unfortunately, we’re saying the same thing too often, and it’s definitely not through a lack of attitude, effort, or being all in on what we’re trying to do. It then comes down to being good enough and executing final actions, which is… frustrating.”
Leeds win keeper race
Leeds United will reportedly beat Manchester United and Sunderland to the signing of Perth Glory goalkeeper Robbie Cook. According to Alan Nixon on his Patreon page, the Whites will sign the stopper on a three-year deal after a successful trial.
