The two clubs now have a week to prepare for their next outings, with no mid-week fixtures in the Championship this week. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Championship.

Harris on Millwall injury scares

Millwall boss Neil Harris has issued an injury update after Josh Coburn and Shaun Hutchinson picked up concerns on Saturday. “Josh Coburn has gone into a protective boot and he’ll go straight for a X-ray scan to see if there’s any damage to his foot,” Harris told South London News.

“He was a huge loss for us in the second half. I thought he was outstanding in the first half. He’s been outstanding every time he’s gone on the pitch for us. It shows the importance of him as a profile in our team of how the modern game is and how we want to play. Josh Coburn’s a key part of that. Shaun Hutchinson was cramping up in his hamstring and his calf down the left hand side. So we’re not sure it’s a nerve issue, but again we won’t know for the next 48 hours.”

Gelhardt claim

Pundit Carlton Palmer is backing Joe Gelhardt to bag a loan move away from Elland Road in January. He told Football League World: “It looks inevitable that he will leave in January, I don’t see it on a permanent transfer because he’s got a really bright future ahead of him. He’s a talented player but he hasn’t had much of a look in this season. I don’t know if that’s because Daniel Farke doesn’t rate him or not. Leeds will probably be looking to get him out on loan, I don’t think they’ll entertain a permanent move unless it’s massive money.”

“With the uncertainty around Tom Cannon, Leicester saying they may recall him and sell him – you never know with the Ruud van Nistelrooy, he might want him back – so Stoke might want to get somebody else. Stoke are not a threat to Leeds and anywhere they allow him to go, they won’t let him go somewhere where he could cause them a problem and score goals, they’ll let him go somewhere to develop,” he said.
