“He trained yesterday but came off early after half an hour. So, he’s not a million miles away. We’re not sure about Tuesday but hopefully he’s back fit against West Brom.”

Hide AdEustace verdict
Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace spoke after his side’s comfortable win over a 10-man QPR side. "I thought we were very good. First half, QPR frustrated us but we played some good, progressive football," Eustace said.
"We had a few half-chances. A few good moments, we kept the ball well and we stuck to our game plan. They go down to ten men and it became more evident we could hurt them down the sides and play around them. It was obviously a horrific tackle, we're glad that Danny got up and he was ok. I don't think the lad meant it, you have to consider the conditions as well, very wet and he overran it. He went in for the tackle, it looked very bad but I'm not sure he meant to hurt anyone.
"The message at half-time was the same. We knew what we had to do and we brought Todd on to do that. He was coming on regardless, we could see we were getting into good areas and we just needed a final bit of quality to make it count. We lifted the tempo, we played out wide and recycled it quickly. Gaps appeared. I'm delighted for Trav, two home games in a row. If you hit the target, you always have a chance of scoring."

Hide AdLe Bris on injuries
Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris has issued an injury update on Dan Ballard and Eliezer Mayender after his side’s defeat over the weekend. “I don’t know because it’s a medical question,” he told safc.com. “I hope so because we have four or five players not available at the minute. It could be useful for the team but the Championship is very long so if they are not with us at the minute, other players are playing, learning from the experiences and for the whole team it will be interesting for the end.
“At the other end of the game the players were disappointed because the players thought it was possible to win at least one point but that wasn’t the case. So they are frustrated and they have a strong motivation to win our games at home [against Derby County and Leeds United].”
