Millwall star sends 'confident' warning as Leeds United dealt injury concern
All the latest news surrounding the Championship clubs as Millwall and QPR prepare to face off.
Another busy weekend of Championship football is just around the corner, and it’s a big weekend for London’s second tier teams as they prepare to face off against each other. Both Millwall and QPR will be in search of their second win of the season at Loftus Road in an all-capital outing.

The Lions have had extra rest heading into this one after being eliminated in the last round of the Carabao Cup, while QPR were in action during the week, narrowly losing to Crystal Palace. Here we round up all the latest news surrounding the Championship clubs.
Langstaff on Millwall jump
New Millwall striker Macauley Langstaff has been speaking about how he is adapting to life at The Den and his hopes of hitting the ground running. “It’s a big leap in terms of quality, but obviously I’m training every day with Championship players, so I’m adapting to the level in training every single day,” he told the South London News.
“There are some top, top players in League Two and it’s a great level, but I think athletically there’s a difference, as well as with the quality of certain players. I think sometimes in League Two you can get away with missing chances because you’re not getting punished.
“At Championship level you’ll get punished because players are much more ruthless. It feels like the opposition only need one or two chances and it’s in the back of your net. So yeah, there are a few differences, but I’m training with these players every single day so I’m getting used to it. It may take a little bit of time, and after the start of the season it may take a little more time, but I’m fully confident that I can adapt to this level and score goals.”
Leeds injury doubts
Leeds United have an injury doubt ahead of their clash with Cardiff City on Saturday, with Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon expected to miss out as he battles to return on time.
Daniel Farke said in his pre-match press conference: “Manor Solomon with some back problems. A few concerns but I’m carefully optimistic all of them will be available. Biggest question mark is Solomon.”
Cardiff concern
Championship pundit George Elek is concerned about the situation at Cardiff City where Erol Bulut has seemingly lost the dressing room amid a winless start to the season. He said on the NTT20 Podcast: “It’s pretty bad, certainly the start of the season has been completely different to what the optimistic Cardiff fans expected in the summer.
“The expectation amongst Cardiff fans was very high, the perception was the squad was very good, the perception was that after a mid-table finish last season, they’d be able to kick on. I personally think the underlying numbers suggest last season that Cardiff’s finish maybe flattered them in terms of their actual performances as the season went on, and I’m also not convinced that the team is necessarily as good as the perception.”
