A busy January transfer window for Millwall could end in the return of a familiar face to The Den.

Championship clubs have less than three hours to finalise deals in the January transfer window, with EFL sides not afforded the luxury of a Deal Sheet to leave dealings to the very last minute.

There's still plenty to be sorted at QPR with rumours rife while Millwall may not be happy with just the signing of Brighton winger Benicio Baker-Boaitey on Monday.

Millwall agree deal for Rangers man

Millwall have agreed a deal to bring forward Zak Lovelace back to The Den, two and a half years after the player made the move to Scotland to sign for Glasgow giants Rangers.

That's according to Football Insider, who claim that an agreement for the 19-year-old has been reached between the two sides ahead of the deadline at 11 pm tonight. Lovelace has made just six appearances for Rangers this term, picking up two assists.

The forward was just 16 when he made the move to Scotland, having made his debut for Millwall at just 15 years old. Lovelace made just five first team appearances for the Lions before leaving and has played in twice in the Europa League for Rangers this term.

Lovelace is a player who will be familiar to Millwall supporters. Formerly a youth player at Glebe, when moving to Scotland, the Kent club's chairman Rocky McMillan said: “For Zak to get to a prestigious club like Rangers, who were in the final of the Europa League last season, is a magnificent achievement for him. It is great for us to see him doing so well and I wish him all the best up there.

“Zak is only 16 so it might take him time to get into the first team and Rangers have a proven goal scorer in Alfredo Morelos there as well obviously. But Rangers obviously see something in him and feel that they can nurture him. If they have done a deal for him, they must like him and hopefully, he can go on to realise his potential there.”

Watford bring in Chelsea youngster

Watford have signed young Chelsea full-back Caleb Wiley on loan from the remainder of the season in a Deadline Day move. The 20-year-old has spent the first half of the season on loan at Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg in France but will now continue to gain experience in the Championship.

The United States international moved to England last summer from MLS side Atlanta United, where he had been progressing since 11 years old.

The versatile wide player has been fielded both at full-back and as a winger by Liam Rosenior at Strasbourg this term. He represented the USA Olympic team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games last year.

Leeds United reject £8 million bid

Leeds United are believed to have rejected a late January bid for striker Mateo Joseph with Real Betis making a move for the 21-year-old. That's as per a report from Spanish outlet El Desmarques.

Joseph is not thought to have been a primary target for Real Betis this January but considered a back-up with Columbus Crew forward Cucho Hernandez top of the Spanish outfit's shopping list. The report claims that Leeds United have knocked back a €10 million, around £8.3 million, offer for the forward.

The Championship side are rumoured to be in the market for a striker in the final hours of the window, with reports of interest in a move for Southampton man Adam Armstrong. Joseph has played 29 times in the Championship this term, picking up three goals and three assists.
