Millwall and Mihailo Ivanovic drop hint amid Everton and Wolves transfer rumours
Everton and Wolves are said to be monitoring a move for the impressive Millwall star.
Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic has been linked with a transfer move to Premier League clubs Everton and Wolves this summer, just 12 months after arriving at the London outfit.

The 20-year-old scored 14 goals in all competitions last term in a strong debut campaign for the Lions. Ivanovic’s form is said to have caught the attention of top flight suitors, as well as Serie A giants Lazio.
The Toffees are in the market for a new striker with Dominic Calvert-Lewin set to leave the club while Wolves have seen Matheus Cunha make the move to Manchester United. Taking to social media platform X on Wednesday, transfer specialist Ekrem Konur wrote: “Lazio, Everton & Wolves are monitoring Millwall’s 20-year-old Serbian striker Mihailo Ivanović.”
Millwall confirm squad number changes
Millwall won’t want to lose the player, who cost a reported £2.8 million last season, and is developing fast at The Den. The club and player are yet to comment explicitly about transfer rumours but, as those began to swirl, appeared to confirm their intention was not to sell the star.
That came in confirmation of squad number changes for next season. Ivanovic has been playing with the number 26 but is now set to take on the prestigious number nine. A club statement read: “Millwall's first-team squad will begin 2025/26 pre-season training on Thursday 26th June. Ahead of Day One at Calmont Road, millwallfc.co.uk can reveal the provisional squad numbers to be taken up by the players, with numerous squad members set to change.
“Mihailo Ivanovic is set to wear the number nine shirt in the new season, whilst Camiel Neghli will adorn the number 10 shirt. Tristan Crama has opted to move to number four, with Joe Bryan switching from 15 to 23. Max Crocombe, meanwhile, will wear the number 15 shirt.”
Mihailo Ivanovic hints at excitement for upcoming Lions campaign
Ivanovic himself shared the news on his Instagram story, along with a star eyes emoji and lion face, hinting at his excitement for the upcoming season at Millwall. The striker was named Millwall Young Player of the Season last time out and finished the 2024/25 campaign in fine form with four goals in his last four outings, including a brace against Norwich City as the club chased a play-off place. Speaking about the player’s development in April, Alex Neil said: “He’s just grown as a player. His link-ups have become better, his leading the line has become better, his understanding of when to press and how press is becoming better.
“His movement in the box is a massive thing that I’ve been onto him since I walked in the building that he needed to improve on. As you can see with the chances he’s now getting, that’s improved hugely. We need to bear in mind, this kid is 20, he’s come from a foreign country, it’s his first season at this level and he’s got twelve goals, which is a remarkable sort of achievement for him personally.”
