Millwall vs Derby County injury news with 6 out and 7 doubts

Millwall host newly-promoted Derby County in the Championship this weekend as they look to bounce back after two winless games. Last time out, they drew 0-0 to highfliers West Brom whereas Derby County won 2-0 against Queen’s Park Rangers at Pride Park.

Both sides will be hoping to come out of the international break with a win as they look to cement mid-table obscurity. Ahead of the game, we have taken a look at the injury latest from both camps.

Adam Mayor - OUT

Mayor has been out since the end of last season, but he is back in training and will take part in several U21s matches before he returns for the first team.

Billy Mitchell - OUT

Midfielder Mitchell suffered a tear in his quad at the start of the season. Saturday will come too soon for the 23-year-old but he should be back in training next week.

Josh Coburn - OUT

Coburn isn’t yet back in training and he will have to wait a couple more weeks before he can return for Millwall’s first team.

Tom Bradshaw - OUT

Striker Bradshaw is on a similar timeline to Josh Coburn and is expected to return to training in two weeks. He will likely play again around the start of November.

Callum Scanlon - OUT

The Liverpool loanee suffered a back fracture in September which will keep him sidelined for several months yet.

Tawanda Chirewa - OUT

Derby’s only player to be completely ruled out of Saturday’s game, the Wolves loanee suffered a quad injury that should keep him out for at least a month.

Shaun Hutchinson - DOUBT

Millwall could be with Hutchinson again on Saturday as the defender could return. Neil Harris told the South London Press: “We will be a little bit more aggressive with Shaun because he’s only been missing for a couple of weeks.”

Ben Osborn - DOUBT

Derby midfielder Osborn suffered a hamstring injury against Sunderland but should be back in the squad on Saturday if all goes well.

Callum Elder - DOUBT

The Australian full-back suffered a groin injury last month against Sheffield United, but he looks likely to return this weekend.

David Ozoh - DOUBT

Crystal Palace loanee Ozoh is expected to return to training this week. Saturday may come too soon, but he could feature in the squad.

Tom Barkhuizen - DOUBT

Derby winger Barkhuizen has missed time with a calf injury, but he is likely to return for the Millwall game giving Paul Warne more depth on the wings.

Sonny Bradley - DOUBT

It is unlikely that Bradley will start on Saturday, but he could be fit enough to make the bench after dealing with a minor knee injury.

The midfielder re-joined training this week and could be in line for the Millwall game, Derby could see several players returning this week.
