Manager asked if he wants to sign Millwall flop this summer as improvement claim made

Millwall will have a decision to make on one of their exiled players this summer. The Lions are battling for a top-half finish going into the final stages of the season, still with a chance of reaching the playoffs but looking unlikely to close the gap with time running out quickly and a tough run of fixtures now in motion.
Alex Neil is yet to have a full season in charge, and with the progress he has made over recent months, there will be excitement heading into next season. The Lions are not likely to spend big in the summer, but Neil should get chance to reshape the squad to his needs, likely to add and offload a handful of players to get the squad to where he wants it heading into the new season.

The 28-year-old was signed from Hibernian in 2023 but things did not go particularly well. Nisbet was once dropped for an off the pitch issue, while he managed only five goals in 28 league games in his first season with the club.
Neil Harris decided to send him back to Scotland on loan in the summer, with Aberdeen snapping him up, and Nisbet has done pretty well with the Dons, scoring eight times in 25 league games to this point. Aberdeen are currently fourth, one point behind Hibs having allowed a fine start to the season to slip.
Over the weekend, Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin was asked whether the Dons would be attempting to keep Nisbet on a permanent deal. He responded to Edinburgh Evening News: “If you ask if we like Kevin, yes we do. That’s all I can say. He is not our player even though he is here right now so it is not for me to say that kind of thing. We focus on the moment right now.
“You can talk about Kevin’s goals and of course that is important. However, also in winning the ball back Kevin is helping the defence. He is also pressing from behind and creating transitions for us but still arriving in the scoring chances. That is how Kevin has grown as a player this season. The best part is when you work closely with players and see them grow and also get the results with their individual parts inside the game.”

Hide AdMillwall are said to have paid around £2million for Nisbet, money they are not likely to get back if they cash in this summer, but Neil will carefully considering who he wants in his squad, and he may feel the loss is worth taking.
Former Lions boss Harris previously said when asked about the striker: "Some players settle, some don't. I said back in May that naturally, over the course of a transfer window, there will be players coming in the building and players who want to leave for various reasons. I don't expect that to be any different between now and August 30. I expect and hope there will be players in the building. I do expect one or two to leave the building for their own agendas."
Those comments suggest Nisbet did not settle well at The Den, and that’s unlikely to change if he does return this summer.
