Leeds ‘identify’ replacement

Leeds United are said to have registered an interest in Birmingham City’s Wales international Jordan James. According to Football Insider, the Whites are considering making an approach for James as they look to replace Glenn Kamara this summer.

James is in the last 12 months of his deal, though Birmingham do have a club option to extend it by a further 12 months, giving them some power in negotiations. Reports have claimed the League One club could charge as much as £10million for James’ services, but it’s likely a deal can be done below that figure.

Millwall injuries

Neil Harris is hoping for some good news over some of his injured stars, with details not yet confirmed over the setbacks suffered by Murray Wallace, Niino Adom-Malaki and Zian Flemming.

Harris told the South London Press: “No, not yet. We’re hoping for positives news on Niino, Murray and Zian Flemming, who didn’t play the last game. Hutch fully trained while we were there. The reason Hutch didn’t play against Murcia was because he was ill. Hutch to be involved this week is a priority for us. Connal Trueman comes back into the training group.”

El Ghazi deal ‘eyed’

Cardiff City are said to be pushing for a deal to sign former Aston Villa star Anwar El Ghazi. According to Sky Sports, the Bluebirds are considering a deal for El Ghazi, who faces an uncertain future in the Bundesliga.

El Ghazi is said to be pushing to get his contract cancelled at Mainz, but those conversations are said to be ongoing. If the Dutch international is successful in ending his deal, he will be a free signing for Cardiff ahead of the new season.
