Neil Harris confirms Millwall injury latest as Daniel Farke reveals Leeds United blows
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Championship clubs.
Another big weekend of Championship action lies ahead with Millwall preparing to face Preston North End on Saturday, while QPR face Blackburn Rovers on the road. Both sides are still searching for their second win of the season with six games already in the books.
We have already had plenty of drama in the Championship this season with several sackings, including the departure of Erol Bulut at Cardiff City last weekend. Here we round up all the latest news surrounding the second tier clubs.
Harris on Millwall injuries
Millwall boss Neil Harris has issued the latest on his side’s injury issues. “There’s no change with the lads who are missing for a period,” Harris said. “Tom Bradshaw, Calum Scanlon and Josh Coburn are going to be missing for the mid-term, which we get on with and accept.”
On Billy Mitchell and Adam Mayor, he added: “They’re not going to be involved in the under-21s game today as they’re not at that stage yet. They’ve had a period where they’ve had a few days on the grass playing with us and training with the group. We’ll have a clearer picture in the next few days in terms of when the timescale is going to be officially.”
Chair boost
QPR star Ilias Chair appears to be back in training, with the club posting images of the creative star training with his teammates following injury. Chair has been out with a lower back injury so far this season.
Marti Cifuentes said at the time of the injury: “I said we were waiting for some tests – and unfortunately the tests showed the development is more or less as we expected. I’m always optimistic and thought it might be a faster process, but the reality is that it’s a bone bruise and it takes time.”
Farke confirms blows
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has confirmed injury blows within his side as they prepare to face Coventry City. He said, as per the Yorkshire Evening Post: "Sadly we have a few injury updates and also some problems this week. Manor Solomon is out for this game, obviously had some back problems that have resulted in problems with his hamstring. I hope to have him back at least for the last game before the international break and perhaps even Norwich. He will definitely miss this game.
“Daniel James is still out, it's perhaps just realistic that he will be back after the international break. If he's available for a game before it'll be a bonus. I expect him back in contention after [the break]."
