Ex Millwall and Wolves striker once signed for £750k by Neil Harris made free agent

Former Millwall and Wolves striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has been made a free agent this summer after his release from League One side Bolton Wanderers. The 31-year-old is now available on a free transfer as he looks for a new club.
Bodvarsson managed just four goals in 36 League One appearances this term but was in and out of the starting XI as Bolton made their way to the third-tier play-offs. The striker didn't feature in the squad for the semi-final against Barnsley or in the final against Oxford United at Wembley Stadium.

"The pair made a highly-valued contribution during their time at the Toughsheet Community Stadium and will depart with the thanks and best wishes of everyone at Wanderers.
"Iceland international Bodvarsson, 31, joined the Whites from Millwall in January, 2022 and scored 25 times for Ian Evatt’s side to help secure a top-10 place in League One in his first season and then two play-off finishes and a place in the 2023 EFL Trophy final."

Bodvarsson is a well-known face to Millwall supporters, having made 76 appearances for the club between 2019 and 2022. The player scored seven goals in that time having moved to The Den from Reading to work under Neil Harris on a £750,000 deal.

"I like to think I am an honest player, I am hard-working and more of a team player than an individual. I like to score a lot of goals and work hard for the team to get us up the table.
"Neil was a massive factor in the move, he was very interested in me for a long time. I had a chat with him before I signed here and I liked his ideas and what he expects from me and the rest of the squad."
