Hide AdNeil confirms blow
Millwall boss Alex Neil has confirmed that Duncan Watmore has picked up an injury that will see him miss at least two games. He told South London News: “He’s just carrying a bit a quad [injury]. It won’t be long. He’ll miss maybe the next two.”
On his side’s 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday, Neil added: “We didn’t want it to be a frantic game. I obviously watched the last time we played Sheffield Wednesday at The Den and we made it a restart the game, put it forward, player on the second ball type of game and that wasn’t what it was. It was end-to-end and it didn’t suit us, particularly in the first half. I thought we tried to open the pitch up and started play passes, which arguably made them more dangerous than it made us.
“We were delighted that it was only 1-0 at the end of the first half, and that was the discussion point really. And the fact that we’ve now got a great opportunity in the second half to go and be better and to go and give ourselves a chance of picking up some points. All credit to the lads. I thought they rallied. I thought they fought and they scrapped and they did their little bits and we showed quality when we needed to for the two goals. George Honeyman’s first touch is brilliant. His finish is excellent and then Wints’ strike at the edge of the box to, to put us in the lead.
“I think the only frustration that I’ve got really is the fact that we don’t see it out at that point. The problem I’ve got with the goal is the fact that we should slide across and stop the first pass going outside us. I think when the ball comes in the box it’s difficult because it takes a flick on and it misfoots us a little bit, so there’s not much you can do about that. But certainly that first instance we can certainly do better.

Hide AdCifuentes warning
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes does not want to see any complacency from his men as they look to continue their resurgence against Luton Town on Monday night. He said: “Hopefully everyone understands from the growth we have experienced during challenging times that there is no place in this group for complacency.
“We know how ruthless this league can be, we know how easy it can be to drop one percent and get punished, we saw it a few days ago against Swansea.”
On Luton’s form, he added: “If someone expects because Luton’s performances away in terms of points has not been great that this will be an easy game, it would be a big mistake. I am sure that is not where the players are, I am sure everybody knows we need to probably improve the level of performance against Watford, and that is going to be a constant in the next weeks The level of challenge will grow and grow because of expectations – teams come to us knowing it is not easy.”
Leeds eye Sky Blues star
Leeds United are said to be considering a bid for Coventry City star Ben Sheaf. According to Leeds United News, the Whites are prepared to spend significant cash to land the midfielder, with the Sky Blues reportedly valuing the versatile star at £8million.

Hide AdThe Whites would surely offer less than that figure, especially with the former Arsenal academy star only under contract for another 18 months. Coventry boss Frank Lampard said when addressing the Leeds links: “No, only that I knew that they’re rumours I’ve heard them as you have, so yeah, I want to keep the players here.”
