It’s a crunch fixture in the race for play-off football with the fourth-placed Lions sit just one position and two points above the Tigers. Hull City go into the clash with the more tired legs, having played against Ipswich Town in midweek.

The Tractor Boys won that encounter 1-0, while Millwall look to build on last weekend’s 2-0 away victory at Preston North End. Alex Neil’s hopes of a result could be boosted with the hosts set to be without two key players.

Right back Lewie Coyle was forced off in the first half against Ipswich Town with an ankle injury, being replaced by Akin Famewo. Coyle could be seen limping towards the dressing room at the break with ice strapped to his foot.

Hull City dealt double blow ahead of facing Millwall

The Hull City captain has featured in every Championship match since early November and his absence would be a blow for the side. Speaking after the game, Sergej Jakirovic admitted he was concerned about the knock.

He told Hull Live: "What worries me is injuries. He (Coyle) got a kick in the right ankle, and after that, I think he twisted it. We'll see what the damage is there.”

Hull City will definitely be without playmaker Matt Crooks against Millwall. The midfielder picked up his 10th booking of the season in midweek and will be sidelined for upcoming meeting with the Lions and with Wrexham.

Jakirovic said: "We lost Crooksy because of 10 yellow cards. Maybe I was stupid, maybe I can put him on the bench to get 10 yellow cards, like an injured player. I can be fined, but I see other games. I see everything. I'm too long in this, in this job, so in football. OK, it's fair play, it's, we must be professionals. We've lost him, but at least he will come back against West Brom."
