England’s £650m starting XI based on transfer value - Arsenal and West Ham stars included, Chelsea snubbed

Gareth Southgate will have the eyes of the nation on his when he selects his England squad for the 2022 World Cup later this year.

Much is expected of the Three Lions as they look to build on their run to the final of Euro 2022 and prove they have moved on from their heartbreaking penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Italy.

Although the likes of France, Brazil and Spain will fancy their chances of adding to their previous World Cup wins, hopes are high that England can make an impact and experience success in Qatar.

Southgate has a wealth of choices available to him for the tournament and the England boss will have some big choices to make when he finalises his 26-man squad for the tournament.

Key players such as Declan Rice, Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane will be certainties to be on the plane but there are question marks hanging over several players that have been regular members of Southgate’s squads in the past.

London World decided to look at the most expensive starting eleven the England boss could pick if his selection was based on the market value of his players - and it has provided some surprises!
