Martin Odegaard decision confirmed as Norway take Arsenal star on international duty

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard will join up with the Norway squad ahead of their games against Slovenia and Kazakhstan this week.
The 25-year-old started for Arsenal against Chelsea on Sunday after returning from an ankle injury which had kept him out for almost three months.

Hide AdOdegaard is expected to be involved in at least one of Norway's upcoming games, with manager Stale Solbakken revealing on Sunday night that he will be assessed by medical staff upon his arrival.
“We’ll see how it turns out. The ankle, the medics and Martin decide this,” Solbakken told Norwegian news outlet VG.
Meanwhile, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are doubts for England’s upcoming Nations League group games against Greece and Ireland.
Rice played against Chelsea with a broken toe and was substituted in the second half, while Saka was forced off with a leg injury on 81 minutes.

"I don’t know whether to expect them to be fit [for the national team] because if not they don’t come off.
