West Ham United’s summer transfer target Harry Maguire could be open to a move after it was revealed Manchester United could sell him for just £10 million in January.
According to the Evening Standard, United are ready to sell Maguire for the cut-price of £10 million as they look to offload several squad members in January. West Ham had reported interest in Maguire over the summer putting in a bid of £20 million for the England international which was rejected by the Red Devils.

However, if he does remain a target for Julian Lopetegui’s side, Maguire’s price of £10 million would be more than achievable for the Hammers in January. Seeing as West Ham currently have conceded 11 goals in seven games, they may decide that Maguire is an option who could help bolster their defence.
Atletico Madrid striker on West Ham radar
Alongside Harry Maguire, West Ham have also stepped up their interest in Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth who they considered signing over the summer. The former Crystal Palace striker moved to Atletico Madrid in August from fellow La Liga side Villarreal but he is weighing up a possible exit already.
According to West Ham Zone, Lopetegui’s side had scouts in the stands to watch the Norweigan international as he faced Slovenia last week. The interest comes amid growing concerns over Niclas Füllkrug’s fitness as he has been dealing with a calf issue since signing for the Hammers in the summer.
Sorloth could cost West Ham up to £29million which is what Atletico paid for him but could prove to be a good signing for the Hammers as he scored 23 goals in 34 games last season. The 28-year-old has experience both in the Premier League and the Champions League and could help Julian Lopetegui’s side with their struggles in attack.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank could reportedly consider a move to the London Stadium should the Hammers decide to part ways with Julian Lopetegui.
Sky Sports presenter Dougie Critchley said: “I would love to see him get a chance at a club like West Ham because I do think he really deserves it. I think if a club like West Ham came to the table for Thomas Frank, I think he would really consider it.”
The news comes as West Ham said that they would give current boss Lopetegui time to right the poor start to the season. However, seven games in, the Hammers sit in 12th with just two wins to their name, an underwhelming start to the season considering the signings that they made. Whereas Brentford sits one place above West Ham with one more win to their name and a reputation for scoring in the opening five minutes of their games.
