Premier League make official Fulham vs Crystal Palace decision after Nottingham Forest complaint
The referee at the heart of VAR controversy following Everton's win over Nottingham Forest last weekend, Stuart Attwell, has been appointed to take charge at Craven Cottage on Saturday when Fulham host Crystal Palace.
Nottingham Forest posted a bombshell message on social media platform X following the club's defeat to relegation rivals Everton, questioning Attwell's integrity due to a number of VAR decisions going against the away side at Goodison Park.

The fixture between Fulham and Crystal Palace could still have consequences on the fight for survival with the south London side not yet mathematically safe, despite sitting in 14th with 11 points on 17th-placed side Luton Town.
Nottingham Forest slammed refereeing decisions on Sunday and took issue with Attwell 'being a Luton fan' as the club felt three penalty decisions were wrongly missed. Forest have called for PGMOL to release the audio from the VAR discussions that led to those decisions.
The club's post on X, formerly Twitter, read: '"Three extremely poor decisions - three penalties not given - which we simply cannot accept. We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested multiple times. NFFC will now consider its options."

The league added: “It is never appropriate to improperly question the integrity of match officials, and the nature of these comments means the Premier League will also be investigating the matter in relation to the league’s rules.”
Attwell was recently in charge of Fulham's meeting with London rivals West Ham at the London Stadium, which the visitors won 2-0. He also oversaw the Cottager's 4-3 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield and 1-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park this term.
