Fulham have been busy over the past few days, both on the incomings and outgoings front.

The Cottagers have given the green light to defender Joe Bryan and goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga to head out the exit door.

Bryan has made the switch to Ligue 1 side OGC Nice on a season-long loan, whilst Gazzaniga has linked up with Spanish outfit Girona.

Fulham have let the pair depart to help them get more game time under their belts and to trim down the size of their squad.

‘All the best’...

Speaking about their respective exits, boss Marco Silva has said, as per the official club website:

“Two different situations. Joe has been a great servant for this football club, he was important in some moments in our promotion last season. The promotion three seasons ago he was really important as well in the Play-Offs.

“It’s a new challenge for him in a different country. It will be really good for him as a new challenge and we are all supporting him and wish the best for him. He’s a great professional at this football club and we wish all the best for him.

“Paulo was different, a short period here, just one season, but we wish all the best for him and I hope that things go really well for them both.”

Bryan joined the London club back in 2018 having previously been a key player at Bristol City.

He has since made 119 appearances in all competitions and chipped in with six goals, two of which were in the play-off final against Brentford back in 2020.

However, he has lost his place to Antonee Robinson over recent times and his temporary switch to France is an opportunity for him to experience football in another country.

Gazzaniga’s time at Craven Cottage has been a lot shorter and he was brought in last year to add competition and depth to their goalkeeping department.

He played 12 times last term as Fulham won promotion from the Championship but following the addition of Bernd Leno from Arsenal, the former Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur man has slipped out of favour.
