Fulham are reportedly keen on Everton defender Michael Keane. The Cottagers have the chance to bolster their ranks ahead of the January transfer window.

According to a report by the Liverpool Echo, Marco Silva’s side are ‘monitoring’ his situation at Goodison Park. They aren’t the only club to be mentioned as a potential suitor though, with fellow London club West Ham credited witn an interest along with Leicester City.

Keane, 29, is under contract at Everton until the summer of 2025. However, he has played just three times for the Toffees so far this term, with only one appearance coming in the league.

Fulham could see him as someone to give them more competition and depth in the heart of defence ahead of the second-half of the campaign. The former Manchester United man is an experienced player and has made 350 appearances in all competitions to date.

He moved to Merseyside in 2017 from Burnley and played under Silva during the 2018/19 season. Prior to his switch, he was a key player at Turf Moor and helped the Clarets win promotion from the Championship during his time there.

The Cottagers lost their last game before the World Cup break 2-1 at home to Manchester United and will be eager to bounce back from that result when they return against West Ham on 17th December. In the meantime, transfer rumours won’t stop and they need to ensure that they get their recruitment right this winter as they look to carry on their impressive campaign.
