Fulham are being linked with a summer move for Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai. The centre-back has become the latest player to reportedly emerge on the Cottagers’ radar ahead of the next transfer window.

According to Turkish news outlet SporX, Marco Silva’s side ‘want’ to add him into their squad for next season. He is a Hungary international with 31 caps under his belt to date.

Fulham could see him as someone to bolster their defensive department. However, Issa Diop and Tim Ream have currently formed a strong partnership in the heart of defence so if Szalai did arrive then Tosin Adarabioyo’s long-term future would be up in the air.

Szalai, 25, has played for Fenerbahce since 2021 and is under contract under June 2025. He has made 101 appearances for the Turkish giants in all competitions, 36 of which have come in this campaign, and has chipped in with six goals and four assists.

Prior to his switch to Turkey, he had spells at Vasas, Rapid Wien, Mezőkövesdi SE and Apollon Limassol. He has found a home with his current club but they may face a battle to keep him.

Fulham will no doubt be linked with lots of players over the next couple of months as their impressive season goes on. They are back in action this week against Leeds United in the FA Cup.
