Fulham interest in £13m star 'still exists'

Fulham could reignite transfer interest in winger Silas Katompa Mvumpa this summer having knocked at the door of VfB Stuttgart during the winter transfer window.
Transfer talk at Craven Cottage remains around the contracts of key stars as it stands with Tosin Adarabioyo, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Kenny Tete and Willian all set to leave as free agents as it stands - although Marco Silva has shared his and the club's desire to extend those deals.

The acquisition of Mvumpa could therefore prove a shrewd move for Fulham, who have clearly been looking at the player for an extended period of time. Sky Deutschland report that Fulham 'really wanted' the 25-year-old in January and were ready to fork out €20 million (£17 million) for his services, but a bid arrived 'too late' for the German side.
The report adds that Fulham's interest in the DR Congo international 'still exists' and that a representative from the club was even present to watch the player against Eintracht Frankfurt this month - although Mvumpa only managed a minute from the bench.

The winger has registered five goals and five assists across 26 appearances in all competitions this term and was absent for a month due to Africa Cup of Nations commitments.
The Bundesliga side are now said to be asking for between £9 and £13 million for the player, which is considerably less than Fulham were reportedly willing to cough up earlier this year. Mvumpa is reportedly 'completely open' about his future.
