The striker completed a loan move to Fulham from Chelsea on Deadline Day in February.

Everton are believed to be in 'daily contact' with Premier League rivals Chelsea with a view to bringing striker Armando Broja to Goodison Park following a hugely underwhelming loan stint at Fulham last season.

The 22-year-old made the short move from Stamford Bridge to Craven Cottage on Deadline Day in February as Marco Silva looked to add firepower to his side. Raul Jimenez had just suffered a hamstring injury and Fulham were in need of options up front.

Fulham had looked at a permanent deal for Broja but were quoted a lofty £50 million by Chelsea. Eventually, a loan move was agreed with Silva's side forking out £4 million for the short-term move.

Broja, who had previously been sent on loan to Vitesse and Southampton, only made eight appearances for Fulham and didn't score a single goal as the short-term deal proved unsuccessful for club and player. The best aspect of the move was perhaps an increased competition for the striking role, which saw Rodrigo Muniz emerge from the background and flourish with nine league goals since February.

Unsurprisingly, Fulham are not expected to pursue a permanent move for the striker but Broja could be offered the chance of a fresh start at another Premier League club in Everton. Reporter Ben Jacobs claims that the Toffees are looking at a £30 million transfer fee to bring the Albanian to Merseyside.

Jacobs wrote on X: "Everton are pushing to sign Armando Broja. Club in daily contact with Chelsea with a £30m package discussed. #EFC hoping for a quick breakthrough."

Last week, Sky Sports broke the news that Chelsea were one of six Premier League clubs facing a race towards a 'mini Deadline Day' at the end of June with outfits needing to balance books before the close of the financial year. Cashing in on homegrown players is expected to be a key technique used by those sides, making a transfer agreement for Broja a potential priority sale at Stamford Bridge.
