Brentford vs Fulham early injury news as 7 ruled out and 3 doubts for Premier League clash

All the latest injury news ahead of the Premier League clash between Brentford and Fulham.

It’s crunch time for Brentford and Fulham as each of the London sides looks to keep their European hopes alive. Heading into the last two games, Brentford are currently in eighth place, goal difference ahead of Brighton, two points ahead of Bournemouth and four ahead of Fulham.

Eighth place will be a Conference League spot, although it may be taken off the table on Saturday. If Crystal Palace win their first-ever FA Cup title, they will take a Europa League spot, and seventh place will become the one and only Conference League spot. But Palace have the tough task of beating Manchester City, so there is still plenty of hope.

Brentford are in the driving seat, while Fulham know they must beat their London rivals this weekend to have any hope of taking the chase to the last game. Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding both London clubs.

Fabio Carvalho - Out

Frank said last month: “[Carvalho] is a longer one. A quick and good recovery could keep the return to play time down, so he could be back just before the end of the season.” It looks more likely that Carvalho will miss the rest of the season.

Josh DaSilva - Out

It looks like the clock could run out on DaSilva, who looks more likely to return for pre-season. Frank said: “Josh Dasilva is a little bit further off.”

Aaron Hickey - Doubt

Hickey has a chance of returning, with Frank saying before the last game: “He’s short of being in the next squad, but hopefully, he can be involved in one of the last two games. Let’s see. It’s about building him correctly.”

Vitaly Janelt - Out

Janelt has been ruled out for the season with an ankle issue. Frank has said: “Vitaly has been carrying this issue throughout the season. He has done so well to manage it, make himself available and help the team. Now it’s the right timing, and hopefully it will get him back early next season.”

Reiss Nelson - Out

Nelson will not return until the summer after requiring surgery on a hamstring issue. Marco Silva said at the time: “It's a really tough moment for us. Of course, first of all, for the player, we feel really sorry for him, because he worked really hard to be back after the first hamstring injury.

“It was a moment that we all were excited about him coming back, because he was really important for us before the injury last December. He did so, so well, and we know that in his best level he is capable to help us to win football matches and to be stronger. Himself, us, all of us were excited about him, and when he was really ready to be in contention again for the game, he felt the other hamstring in the other leg. Not the same injury, completely different injury in the other leg. He got surgery there, and could be out until the end of the season. I don't want to give a timescale that is 100% sure, but it could be out until the end of the season, unfortunately for him, and for us.”

Rodrigo Muniz - Out

Muniz is out with a lower leg injury. Silva said at the start of May: “Rodrigo, no. Not for this game, probably not for the next one. It's going to be difficult to have him until the end of the season. Of course, we are going to try, see how he's going to react, but the news is not very good. We have to see week by week.”

There has been no update, and it would seem Muniz is likely to be out for the season.

Antonee Robinson - Doubt

Robinson missed out with a knee injury again last time out and will remain a doubt here.

Sasa Lukic - Doubt

Silva has said of Lukic: “The only one that can be able to play again this season is Sasa. Let's see next week to see if he can be back to help the team again. But for the Everton match, he's going to be out.”

Timothy Castagne - Out

Castagne has now had surgery on his ankle injury. Silva has said: “The surgery of Timothy - last Tuesday - he will be out until the pre-season. I don't know if he's going to be [OK] from the first day, but we expect him to be ready... we can lose one week, ten days of the pre-season. But not all, and of course, he's going to be able to play some friendly games during that period to be ready for the beginning of the Premier League.”

Harrison Reed - Out

It seems as though Reed is out until the summer with a calf injury. Silva has said: “As you saw about Harrison, the injury in the last ten minutes of the [AVFC] game. Calf injury. It’s not so serious like we expected during that moment of the game.”
