Arsenal player 'tells' Mikel Arteta he wants exit amid 'very good' manager admission
One Arsenal player a reportedly told Mikel Arteta he wants to leave the club in the not too distant future. Reiss Nelson is currently on on loan with Fulham having struggled for first team opportunities with the Gunners.
Nelson popped up in some key moment last season, but he was not handed regular starts behind the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. The winger is now 24 years of age, and naturally, he wants to be playing regular top-flight football having proved he can perform at that level.

Hide AdNelson has made 50 league appearances in the seven years since he broke through to the Arsenal first team for the first time, and he has more than 50 league appearances to his name through his loan spells, spending time at Hoffenheim, Feyenoord and now Fulham,
The winger has been a regular for Fulham so far, already racking up eight league outings, scoring once. He played again on Saturday as the Cottagers continued their strong start by seeing off London rivals Crystal Palace.
Whether Fulham will move to keep the Arsenal winger on a permanent basis remains to be seen, but it seems Nelson wants to move on from the Gunners if he is not going to be given regular opportunities. According to TeamTalk, Nelson has already told Arteta that the next time he leaves Arsenal, he wants it to be a permanent one, not wanting to leave on loan again.
There is already talk of interest from Germany, with Nelson already having played in the Bundesliga, but Fulham could be interested given Marco Silva’s reliance on the winger up to this point.

Hide AdSilva on Nelson
Speaking earlier this season, Cottagers boss Silva praised Nelson and his impact. “A very good first half, he probably should have scored because he created the best moments,” he said.
“He’s made a good impact on our squad so far and is going to help us to be stronger throughout the season.” Explaining why he joined Fulham, Nelson said: “I spoke with the boss and he convinced me about the project. It was something I couldn’t turn down. The boss likes to play out from the back. He likes inverted wingers that can play with either foot and combine with the striker. I think that complements where I want to play.”
