Crystal Palace produced a solid home display to dent Liverpool’s top four hopes with a 0-0 draw at Selhurst on Saturday night.

The Eagles will feel they could have won having dominated and created the best chances in the first half. Both Diego Jota Mohamed Salah hit the post for the visitors while Jean-Philippe Mateta missed two chances to put his team ahead- in the end both teams settled for the point.

The point means Palace have just one win in their last 11 matches while Liverpool fail to win at Selhurst for the first time nine attempts.

Here are some of the moments you might have missed watching from home.

Palace fans counting with a hurray with every pass

There was a period in the first half when Palace looked like they would be running away with the game, the Eagles put a series of passes together than led to a corner in the end. At that period Liverpool were hanging on the strings and every Palace pass was met with a “hurray” as Selhurst gave their full support to a team that was fighting for them.

Who is the scouser in the black chants

Selhurst Park under the lights has always been one of the best atmospheres in the Premier League especially when a big team comes to south London.

The chants are relentless and this time referee Darren England was at the end of a very hilarious chant of “Who is the scouser in black” after he awarded a free kick to Liverpool at the edge of the Palace box but replays showed Clyne got the ball off Jota fairly.

Fortunately for him- the resulting free kick did no harm and all was forgotten.

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira stays in his designated area

One of the challenges of Patrick Vieira besides always trying to get Palace win games is his inability to stay in the box designated for managers.

The Palace boss always has to be reminded by referees he’s not allowed to go too far from the box- but against Liverpool, for some reason he remained calm and didn’t have an official constantly prompting him to stay within his boundaries. More of that calm will be needed in a busy March coming for his side.

The Crystal Palace players who did not play or just had the last few minutes of the game had to warm up immediately after the final whistle and Eberechi Eze and Will Hughes were seen laughing and sharing a joke as they warmed down on the pitch with all fans cleared.
