West Ham vs Crystal Palace early injury news as 6 ruled out and 2 doubts
All the early injury news surrounding Crystal Palace and West Ham as they prepare to face off in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace and West Ham return to action against each other this weekend as they face off in the Premier League on Saturday. Palace won in the Carabao Cup during the week, albeit they needed penalties to defeat Millwall and maintain their unbeaten start.

The Eagles have only won one of their Premier League games, though, and they may well be looking at a West Ham side bang out of form as their perfect remedy. The Hammers have lost four of their first five games across all competitions, and they need to get going sooner rather than later to avoid pressure building quickly upon Graham Potter. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both teams heading into this one.
Tomas Soucek - Out (Suspended)
Soucek was sent off last time out for a high lunge. Potter said after the game: “I don't think there was intent from Tomas, and there wasn't a lot of speed in it, but when you go with your studs raised, you've got a problem.”
Luis Guilherme - Out
Guilherme is currently out with a clavicle fracture and it’s unclear when he is going to return at this stage.
Chadi Riad - Out
Glasner has confirmed: “We think Chadi will return after his ACL [injury] in October or November. Now it looks like the timeline of Cheicky is more or less the same.” Riad suffered a serious knee injury early in the new year.
Cheick Doucoure - Out
Glasner said around three weeks ago: “We hoped that Cheicky could return for the Austria camp for training. We think Chadi [Riad] will return after his ACL [injury] in October or November. Now it looks like the timeline of Cheicky is more or less the same.”
Eddie Nketiah - Doubt
Glasner said before the Millwall game: “At the moment, it looks like Adam, Sarr, and Eddie Nketiah are available at least vs Liverpool, so in two weeks. That's a great job from our medical department. Tomorrow, none of them are available. Maybe Adam and Eddie have a chance for WHU.”
Adam Wharton - Doubt
The same update applied for Nketiah. Wharton has an outside chance.
Ismaila Sarr - Out
The same goes for Sarr, but he will be out for this one, with the attacker having suffered a hamstring injury in the Aston Villa game.
Caleb Kporha - Out
Glasner has said: “Caleb has problems with his back and is not able to train and has been out the whole pre-season - we don’t know when he will return.” There has been no update on Kporha’s situation since that early August update.
