Spurs are looking at a mini re-build at the back in the summer and are widely reported to be looking at Guehi as a long-term replacement for Eric Dier.

While Arsenal who have been rocked by the injury to William Saliba want the 22-year-old as cover for the French defender whose absence has been hugely felt by the north London club in their chase for the Premier League title.

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have a clause that allows them to match any offer made by a club for his sale with the Blues looking at a possible long-term replacement for impressive yet veteran Thiago Silva.

Crystal Palace signed the then-England under-21 star for £18 million from Chelsea but rate him around £60 million just two seasons after he made his switch from Stamford Bridge to Selhurst.

Since then, he’s played for England, captained Palace, and built a reputation for consistency and durability that has earned him a tag as one of the best young defenders in the Premier League.

This season- Guehi has played a massive role in the Eagles reaching 40 points mark and securing their Premier League status for another season, but club chairman Steve Parish would be concerned with top-half clubs circling for his defender’s signature.
