Ten brilliant photos from Crystal Palace’s pre-season tour of Singapore and Australia

Crystal Palace have been very busy preparing for the season and we bring you the best photos from their world tour.

Crystal Palace have been hard at work and their pre-season is in the final stretch, with a group that visited Singapore and later Australia.

The Eagles divided the team into two, with one half staying back in England while the other has been touring the world and building up momentum.

Palace lost to Liverpool in Singapore and even though the Reds looked sharper and well drilled, the overall improvement in subsequent games was impressive and a good look for the south London side.

Patrick Vieira’s men then lost to Manchester United in Melbourne, but everyone who watched the game saw the improvement in a mostly-changed side.

The academy players who Vieira gave minutes to battled well against a United side playing under new manager Erik ten Hag.

Palace held Leeds United to a 1-1 draw at the Optus Stadium, in Perth, in a game they should have won, with Vieira particularly being impressed with the way his players responded to the travelling and the intensity that these games have required.

Last season, Palace enjoyed some of their best moments in recent times and the challenge for Vieira is to match that or even beat the progress they made.

They have brought in Cheick Doucouré, Malcolm Ebiowei and Sam Johnstone, who are expected to add both quality and competition to the team.

The fans are expectant and the feeling is that good things are going to happen, so with just two pre-season games left, here are some of the best photos from the tour so far.
