Ten amazing pictures of Crystal Palace fans at Selhurst for memorable 3-0 win over Arsenal

Crystal Palace fans witnessed a masterclass at Selhurst with their side beating Arsenal 3-0.

Crystal Palace continue to write their own story in gold after producing a brilliant all-round performance to beat Arsenal 3-0 in the Premier League on Monday night.

Goals from in-form Jean-Philippe Mateta, the hard-working Jordan Ayew and talisman Wilfried Zaha sealed a deserved win for the Eagles in-front of their vociferous fans.

The win was reward for the hard work Palace have put in.

After a blistering start to the game that saw them pin Arsenal, they imposed their piercing passing game which eventually yielded the three unanswered goals.

There are some fans who feel that the victory was revenge for Arsenal’s last-minute equaliser, when both sides met at the Emirates back in October.

On that day, it was Palace who were the better side but a late Alexandre Lacazette goal denied the south London side what would have been a great victory for Patrick Vieira on his return to Arsenal.

There was no denying them though on Monday night and the fans loved every bit of it, even staying behind to sing when the final whistle had gone.

The victory, Palace’s first at home in the league in 2022, moves them up to ninth while Arsenal remain fifth and outside the top four on goal difference, albeit with a game in hand.

There were so many quality performance on the day, but the fact the Eagles did not miss their influential forward Michael Olise who sat out the game because of reported foot injury shows the growing depth and the competition for places in the team.

Palace are growing in every dimension and results like the one against Arsenal will only fuel and encourage them ahead of their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
