Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira will give both Tyrick Mitchell and Wilfried Zaha the best possible chance to recover in time for the Premier League game against Brentford this week.

Tyrick Mitchell was substituted in the second half against Manchester City after appearing to have taken a knock while star man Wilfried Zaha did not even make the team for the trip to Manchester over the weekend.

The Eagles are looking for a swift response to the defeat at Manchester City- but Vieira who already has James McArthur, James Tomkins and Nathan Ferguson ruled out is sweating over the fitness of Mtchell and Zaha.

He told the reporters both Zaha and Mitchell did some training even though he would have give time to see how they respond training before naming them in the team.

He said: “We have to wait and see tomorrow because they did some training. They did individual and some team training and we have to wait and see how they will recover tomorrow.”

Both the Eagles and the Bees failed to win the two games they played against each other last season, but with Palace having lost only two games in their last nine at Selhurst, Vieira side are favourites to get all three points.

The boss admits winning on Tuesday has dominated his mind since they returned Manchester over the weekend.

He added: “ My focus is the game tomorrow honestly we have to bounce back after the defeat against City- and it’s about recovery and trying to cover some part of the game that we need to to improve and we will have time to talk about what we need to do in the market.

“The club knows what we need and there are people working and we will see if we can make it happen.”
