Malcolm Ebiowei won’t be going out on loan having already impressed the Crystal Palace technical handlers and most importantly head coach Patrick Vieira.

The 18-year-old winger was signed from Derby, and the initial plan was to send him out on loan, but having trained and played with the first team, he’s now been told to get ready for the season.

Vieira has watched him closely and told the youngster that he’s got everything it takes to be a success in the Premier League.

Even though he has not guaranteed him game time, the message to the youngster is evidence and reward of the strong impression he’s made already since his move to south London.

Vieira and the technical team also believe that with the right timing and proper preparation Ebiowei can have the same level of impact Michael Olise had last season, if not more.

He has the skill but what has been outstanding about him is the desire and hunger to learn, which has caught the eyes of the former Arsenal midfielder, who knows that his second season at Crystal Palace needs to get off to a strong start if he is to replicate last season’s fine form that took them to an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

Players likely to go out on-loan from Selhurst Park

Following the dazzling form of Ebiowei, all attention is now on what happens to youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, who is considered to have a big future at the club.

However the young talent will need a loan deal to get more game time this season.

Both Oxford and MK Dons have been hot on his heels and the technical team will try and make the best decision alongside the player in the coming days.

Another youngster who has emerged as a real star during pre-season has been David Ozoh, who is also looking to go out to either a League One or Championship side to try and get some game time.

Players that could still leave Crystal Palace ahead of the new season

The future of lead striker Christian Benteke is still up in the air, with Wolves looking at the target man - even though he would still like to see out his contract in south London.

Benteke would like to go to the World Cup and could yet still decide to leave if he is guaranteed playing time elsewhere, which will will boost his chances of going to Qatar with Belgium.

Then there is the ongoing discussions on the future of star man Wilfried Zaha, who has been an A list target from Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma.

The general admission is that Wilfried Zaha will not be going anywhere, but in the transfer window everything is possible.
